TOP IDEA
Shrinkage Is Real
Have you ordered recently at your local take out and realized that the portions gotten suspiciously small while the price has crept up? Well…the crews over at Quartz basically confirmed that you’re not insane and almost every business is skimping.
From Doritos to Crest, we’re seeing portions being cut back in ways that are often unnoticeable to the consumers (see image above). This should come at no surprise given the crazy amount of money injected into the economy.
Lastly, with the fed’s plan to raise rates 7x this year to the range of 6% will shrink your home purchasing power by almost 30%. So if you planned to purchase a $500k home in 2021, the higher rates will only qualify you for up to $350k.
WEST COAST IS THE $$$ COAST
- Cali-Expensive: 9 out of 10 homes are over a million in California…
- Boston?…drumroll: Boston is right behind Oxnard with 20% of our homes over 1 mil+

LOCAL SPOTLIGHT: OIISHI TOO
OIISHI TOO
The bane of moving to the burbs is the lack of restaurants. We recently met up with our friends out in Wayland and discovered this gem of a Sushi place tucked away behind a strip mall in Sudbury. Friday night and this place was packed like a sardine. That’s how you know the pandemic over: drunk soccer moms shouting over each other while eating raw fish in a crowded bar.
In all cases, the food was good. Of note, the tempura was excellent. The breading was light and fluffy yet crispy. The shrimp and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. Having this as the appetizer sort of ruined the sushi TBH. Check it out and call a head.Â
